PHP 5 has just been released.
Does anybody know if Exponential will benefit from this php evolution when the system will take into account this major upgrade ?
I don't mean, will Exponential use it, of course when it is stable Exponential will probably be ported on that version but can we expect better performance if ez is redesigned to work specifically on PHPO 5 ?
Especially in terms of object oriented approach, memory usage...

We haven't done any test porting to PHP5 yet so we don't know for certain if there will be speed or memory improvements. Of course, PHP5 is still very young and will certainly improve over the next year.
However, we are quite certain that PHP5 will lead to code that is far easier to understand.
