I am new to ez, so maybe I could not find easy answers, yet.

Please explain, if there is a simple way to create restricted website area. I would like limit read access to some part of the site (partners area).

As far as I know, roles allows to restrict access based on operation (read, edit, etc), but cannot limit access to specific pages. On the other hand I would like to use roles, so the administration is simple

You can use sections. Just assign the partnersarea to a section, and give permissions to the section.

You can set Read - access to a Subtree or to one specific node.

Hope this helps.
