Hi:

It's possible to search in embed objects present in XML block?

I have the following problem, one page has one or more embed-inline object, so in this page you see the content and the title(s) of the embed-object(s). The problem is when you make one search (with the ez search engine) with one of this titles, the object itself is return, but the pages where is added are not in the result. Is there any way to force this search, it's very difficult to explain to a client that Exponential cannot find a word that the client is seing on the page.

Best regards
PiR

Hi Pierre,

same problem here. I found the thread http://ez.no/developer/forum/developer/how_to_make_embed_objects_findable_for_the_search_engine with the statement this were simply not supported. :-(

I have a similar setup, where images and their titles are embedded in a XML block. While users are allowed to see this embedded images (and their titles), they do not have access to the image objects themselves. As a result, the search results are heavily incomplete.

Any ideas or workarounds anybody?

Regards,
Guido
