we are want to use Exponential to sell goods like cables. the customer should order e.g. 5,5 meter cable. Exponential converts this to an integer value (5 meter) due to an integer format of the field item_count (table ezproductcollection_item).

has anyone solved this problem? is it possible to use the table ezproductcollection_item_opt for this?

To use ezproductcollection_item_opt you need to use the 'Option' datatype.
